Senior Director - Product Management

Role Overview: Freshworks is looking for a Director of Product Management to guide the product strategy for one of the important products. Reporting to the Business Unit Head, you will lead the product management teams for the product. Your responsibilities include product planning and execution throughout the business lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product vision, and collaborating with leaders from product design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure financial and customer satisfaction goals are met. Additionally, you will align the product strategy with the company's overall goals. Key Responsibilities: - Define the long-term strategy and vision for the product by leveraging customer research, experience, and new technologies to deliver features that add value to customers. - Propose new product ideas and drive requirement definition, customer experience design, product roadmap, and prioritization. - Define and own business metrics and OKRs for the product. - Manage delivery and operations by translating complex processes into technical requirements. - Collaborate with Product Leadership to prioritize problems or themes to achieve outcomes. - Define outcomes for sprints and releases, prioritize initiatives for scrum teams, and work with developers and designers to build a product that meets market needs. - Build a high-performing team of Product Managers. Qualifications: - 12 years of product management and software/IT engineering industry experience. - 5 years of direct people management experience. - 5 years of experience in the SaaS industry. - Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all business levels. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. - Proven track record of building, managing, and sustaining product organizations. - Master's in Business Administration is an added advantage. - Ability to influence stakeholders at the business unit level. - Understanding of technical and non-technical aspects of product development. - Experience in developing technology solutions in a fast-paced environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
