Job Title: Industrial Engineering Trainee Department: Process Excellence Location: Pune Reporting To: Process Excellence Manager Job Type: Full-time Trainee Job Summary The Industrial Engineering Trainee will support the operations team in improving productivity, optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. The trainee will learn and assist in implementing industrial engineering techniques such as time studies, process analysis, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Assist in time and motion studies to analyze work efficiency. Support in process mapping and workflow analysis. Collect and analyze production and operational data. Help identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities. Participate in Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen / Continuous Improvement projects. Assist in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Support inventory, layout, and process optimization initiatives. Prepare reports, charts, and presentations related to productivity and process performance. Work with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain. Assist in cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering. Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–1 year experience are preferred. Required Skills Basic knowledge of Industrial Engineering concepts. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic environment. Preferred Skills (Optional) Knowledge of Six Sigma tools. Exposure to AutoCAD or layout planning tools. Basic understanding of ERP systems. Training & Learning Areas Time study and productivity measurement Process optimization Lean manufacturing techniques Production planning and control Data analysis for operational improvements
