About the role
Role Overview: As the Head of Physical AI / Robotics Software Development, you will lead the development of next-generation autonomy and Physical AI platforms for the company's robotic and autonomous mobility products. Your strategic leadership will define and execute the software architecture, AI roadmap, and autonomy stack for autonomous robots, intelligent fleets, industrial automation systems, and future robotic platforms. You will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams across AI, Robotics, Perception, Controls, Embedded Systems, Cloud Platforms, and Simulation, requiring deep expertise in Robotics Software, Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Navigation, Computer Vision, and Large AI Models for real-world robotic applications. Key Responsibilities: - Define the long-term technology vision and roadmap for Physical AI and autonomous robotics. - Lead the development of scalable autonomy platforms across industrial robots, AMRs, AGVs, autonomous forklifts, and future robotic systems. - Build and manage high-performance engineering teams across AI, Robotics, Software, and Systems Engineering. - Drive innovation and intellectual property creation through patents and research initiatives. - Collaborate with business leaders, product management, and customers to align technology with market requirements. - Architect end-to-end autonomous systems including Perception, Localization, Mapping, Navigation, Planning, and Control. - Develop Physical AI systems that enable robots to perceive, reason, and act autonomously in dynamic environments. - Lead deployment of AI-enabled decision-making systems for industrial automation and autonomous mobility. - Own the complete robotics software stack including ROS / ROS2, SLAM, Sensor Fusion, Path Planning, Motion Planning, and Multi-Robot Coordination. - Drive software architecture for large-scale robot fleet management systems. - Develop simulation environments and digital twins for validation and testing. - Ensure production-grade software quality, scalability, safety, and cybersecurity. - Lead development of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Sensor Fusion Algorithms. - Build AI models for Object Detection, Human-Robot Interaction, Scene Understanding, and Autonomous Decision Making. - Drive deployment of AI models on edge computing platforms. Qualification Required: - B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Autonomous Systems, or related engineering disciplines.
