About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design & development: Study customer requirements and prepare 2D/3D designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design software. 2. Drawing preparation: Create proposal, GA (general arrangement), and fabrication drawings, ensuring accuracy and client approvals before production. 3. BOM creation: Develop and manage the bill of materials (BOM) for all design projects. 4. Coordination & communication: Work closely with customers, manufacturing teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to address technical challenges. 5. On-site engagement: Visit job sites or factories to understand design needs, measure dimensions, and oversee production lines for effective commissioning. 6. Compliance & standards: Analyze customer design proposals and ensure conformance with engineering standards and performance specifications. 7. Product development: Participate in the development of new products, parts, jigs, and fixtures. 8. Project management: Maintain project documentation via Google Sheets and FMS records, ensuring structured workflows. 9. Documentation & reporting: Maintain both soft and hard copies of drawings while generating insightful graphical reports and presentations. This role involves handling end-to-end design activities, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution from concept to commissioning.
