About the role
About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Design & development: Study customer requirements and prepare 2D/3D designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design software. 2. Drawing preparation: Create proposal, GA (general arrangement), and fabrication drawings, ensuring accuracy and client approvals before production. 3. BOM creation: Develop and manage the bill of materials (BOM) for all design projects. 4. Coordination & communication: Work closely with customers, manufacturing teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to address technical challenges. 5. On-site engagement: Visit job sites or factories to understand design needs, measure dimensions, and oversee production lines for effective commissioning. 6. Compliance & standards: Analyze customer design proposals and ensure conformance with engineering standards and performance specifications. 7. Product development: Participate in the development of new products, parts, jigs, and fixtures. 8. Project management: Maintain project documentation via Google Sheets and FMS records, ensuring structured workflows. 9. Documentation & reporting: Maintain both soft and hard copies of drawings while generating insightful graphical reports and presentations. This role involves handling end-to-end design activities, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution from concept to commissioning. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, contractors, and team members. 5. Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach and creative thinking ability. 6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multifunctional team. 7. Experience in preparing PowerPoint presentations for project reviews. C. Experience: Fresher or 1 year of experience D.
