About the role
About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer who is passionate about building scalable web applications while leading a team of developers. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in the MERN stack, excellent communication skills, and proven experience mentoring teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and driving projects from concept to deployment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). Lead and mentor a team of developers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards. Break down project requirements into technical tasks and assign work effectively within the team. Collaborate with Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making. Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices. Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions. Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and estimations. Ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high development standards. Communicate project status, technical challenges, and solutions clearly with stakeholders. Required Skills 5+ years of experience in Full Stack Development. Strong Expertise In React.js Node.js Express.js MongoDB JavaScript (ES6+) / TypeScript Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations. Good understanding of authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth). Experience with Git, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of AWS/GCP or other cloud platforms. Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments. Strong understanding of software design principles and scalable architecture. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Leadership & Communication Proven experience leading a development team of 4 - 10 engineers. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to mentor junior developers and conduct technical knowledge-sharing sessions. Experience in code reviews, performance feedback, and technical interviews. Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage project priorities. Strong ownership mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. (ref:hirist.tech)
