About the role
As an Analyst, Sales Data and Reporting at Gartner, you will be a crucial part of the Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) team, which plays a vital role in shaping Gartner's sales priorities and collaborating with sales & services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. Your role will involve being at the forefront of the continuous transformation of Gartner's sales force, which generates approximately $4.9 billion in annual revenue and aims for sustained double-digit growth. You will collaborate with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force of over 5,000 associates selling to various functions, industries, and market sectors worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize standard statistical tools, methods, and techniques to compile and analyze data accurately. - Participate in hypothesis generation for key business performance drivers and develop hypotheses based on data and business knowledge. - Identify appropriate visualizations for different data types and reporting. - Build effective analytical solutions in various Business Intelligence (BI) tools. - Research, assess, and recommend operational and/or technical solutions for analytic processes. - Identify opportunities and recommend actions to enhance business value and drive improvement. - Distill complex analyses into clear, concise key themes and findings. - Ensure consistent data quality across all dashboards, analyses, and reports. - Maintain attention to detail, implement checks, and follow best practices to ensure data accuracy and reliability. - Utilize Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tasks. - Demonstrate comprehensive skills in SQL and Microsoft Power BI/Tableau/Salesforce CRM-A for data management, analysis, and visualization. - Effectively manage time by prioritizing critical activities and completing high-impact tasks efficiently. - Demonstrate adaptability by changing ideas based on new information and experiences, and willingness to adapt and grow in response to feedback and challenges. - Identify operational problems and modify processes, services, tools, and techniques. - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate sales effectiveness and efficiency. - Ensure the accuracy and integrity of sales data by implementing data governance best practices. - Establish relationships with key business partners. - Support ad-hoc analytical requests and projects as needed. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. - Proficiency in data analytics tools: SQL, DAX, Power Query(M). Knowledge of R, Python, Alteryx, SOQL, SAQL, etc., is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. - Knowledge of Sales processes, Customer 360, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and sales performance metrics. - Strong communication and presentation skills to convey data findings to technical and non-technical audiences. - Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality. - Experience with Salesforce Reports, Dashboards, and CRM Analytics (formerly Tableau CRM) preferred. - Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics techniques is a plus. - Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. - Knowledge of data Integration Tools like MS Fabric, MS Power Query, Azure Data Factory, etc., is a plus. - Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Analysis Services, Microsoft Fabric Microsoft Automate, Azure Data Lake Storage, etc. As an Analyst, Sales Data and Reporting at Gartner, you will be a crucial part of the Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) team, which plays a vital role in shaping Gartner's sales priorities and collaborating with sales & services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights.
