Structural Engineer

Competencies The Structural Engineer (Railway Bridges & Structures) shall be responsible for the complete engineering, analysis, and detailed design of civil structures for Indian railway. The role operates primarily in the Detailed Project Report (DPR), FEED, and detailed engineering phases, with hands-on experience in the design and execution of Railway Bridge Structures, including Minor Bridges, Major Bridges, Important Bridges, ROBs, RUBs, and other associated railway structures Key Responsibilities Structural design and review of Minor, Major & Important Railway Bridges, ROBs, RUBs, and associated structures. Preparation, checking, and coordination of stakeholders related to GADs (General Arrangement Drawings) and detailed structural drawings. Design of foundations, substructures, superstructures, retaining structures, and associated components. Coordination with Railway officials, consultants, field teams, and other disciplines for approvals and execution. Review of survey, geotechnical, hydraulic, and alignment inputs required for structural design. Site visits for data collection, design coordination, execution support, and resolution of technical issues. Work Experience 4-5 years of relevant experience in railway bridge and structural design Hands-on experience in designing Railway Bridges, ROBs, RUBs, and associated structures. Must have independently handled or significantly contributed to at least one ROB/Railway structures project up to CRS inspection/approval stage. Strong knowledge of GAD preparation, checking, submission, revision, and approval processes. Familiarity with Railway departmental approval procedures and coordination. Knowledge STAAD.Pro Structural analysis and design. MIDAS Civil Bridge analysis and design. AutoCAD Preparation and review of GADs and structural drawings. CSI Bridge / SAP2000 Preferred for bridge and structural analysis. Microsoft Excel – Design calculations, BOQs, quantity calculations, and technical data analysis. Competencies Execution-oriented Capable of independently coordinating railway bridge design activities from site data collection and GAD preparation through Railway approvals, detailed design, execution support, and CRS stage
