The role focuses on system-level design decisions, technology evaluation, and reusable frameworks that ensure scalability, compliance, and innovation. The Hardware Architect translates business requirements into technical architecture, sets design standards, and provides technical direction across teams to build future-ready, competitive product platforms. ;Key Responsibilities ;System Architecture ;Define hardware architecture for new embedded product platforms ;Make system level design decisions for embedded hardware products ;Decide MCU/MPU selection based on product requirements ;Select communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, and industrial protocols ;Define power topology, isolation, and protection architecture ;Translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture ;Build scalable and future ready hardware platforms ;Collaborate with firmware, software, PCB, mechanical, testing, QA, and manufacturing teams for architecture alignment ;Standards Best Practices ;Create reusable hardware design frameworks and platform strategies ;Define hardware design standards, guidelines, and best practices ;Ensure consistency in design methodologies across projects ;Review PCB layouts and hardware designs for architectural compliance ;Support DFM activities and manufacturability improvements ;Guide teams on system level design practices and technical standards ;Technology Evaluation ;Evaluate new ICs, components, technologies, and design approaches ;Review hardware designs for architectural alignment and optimization ;Support component selection, alternate component evaluation, and technology upgrades ;Analyze emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies ;Contribute towards innovation and competitive product portfolio development ;Support field issue analysis and technical problem resolution related to architecture ;Competencies ;Functional/Technical Competencies ;Embedded system architecture expertise ;Mixed signal design and system trade off analysis ;Processor, memory, and interface selection expertise ;Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, RS485, and Modbus ;Power architecture design including battery, AC/DC, isolation, and protection systems ;EMI and EMC system level design knowledge ;Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture ;PCB layout review and hardware validation knowledge ;High speed hardware design knowledge including DDR, USB, and Ethernet PHY ;Cybersecurity knowledge in embedded systems ;Platform based product development expertise ;Knowledge of component selection and alternate component evaluation ;Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills ;Managerial / Leadership / Behavioural Competencies ;Strategic thinking and technology vision ;Innovation and patent mindset ;Cross functional collaboration and coordination ;Decision making and technical leadership ;Problem solving and analytical thinking ;Ability to guide and mentor technical teams ;Strong communication and stakeholder management skills ;Focus on scalability, reliability, and future readiness ;Ability to drive standardization and process improvement Disclaimer: This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
