The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. Job Overview The role supports the Demand Planning function by providing innovative solutions and implementing them to optimize and standardize forecasting processes. The analyst will explore and take up opportunities that support the demand planning efforts by creating and executing industrystandard approaches. Key Accountabilities Thoroughly understand different forecasting models (time series and causal models), analyze forecasting outputs, and prepare final analysis of change reports for stakeholders. Identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends through descriptive analysis in complex data sets to aid diagnosis and prediction. Analyze performance metrics (e.g., accuracy, bias) and identify improvement opportunities through root cause analysis to achieve business targets. Use automated tools such as Tableau dashboards and GCP to extract data from primary and secondary sources using SQL/PLSQL. Constantly engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment in demand forecasts. Lead and coordinate with technical/data science teams to identify process improvement opportunities, validate outputs, and propose modifications if required. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Operational Research, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a relevant field. 12 years of experience in data analysis. Working knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Basic knowledge of supply chain/CPG/Retail. Familiarity with forecasting techniques like timeseries models (exponential smoothing/ARIMA) and other ML techniques. Proficiency in statistics and statistical tools such as R, Python, Excel, SQL. Basic knowledge of cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, Azure. A systematic and logical approach to problemsolving. Stakeholder management with strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong analytical, problemsolving, and business acumen. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline. Professional certifications in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or related fields. Education Minimum: Bachelors degree. Preferred: Masters degree.
