About the role
As a D&T Analyst II Commercial Capabilities Canada Trade at General Mills, you will play a central role in supporting and evolving the Canada Trade application (Nexus) and its associated reporting capabilities for the Canada Sales business. You will work closely with the Sr. D&T Analyst, Canada Sales, Sales Finance, and other business teams, as well as D&T delivery teams. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding business processes and trade promotion use cases - Translating them into clear functional requirements and user stories - Supporting incident resolution and enhancements across the Nexus application and its data & reporting layer Key Accountabilities: 1. Application Support & Operations (Run & Operate) - Serve as one of the primary D&T contacts for day-to-day support, operation, and minor enhancements of the Canada Trade (Nexus) application - Triage and resolve application issues raised via Remedy within defined SLAs - Monitor the operational stability and data integrity of Nexus - Document incidents, root causes, and permanent fixes - Ensure all support and change activities follow SOX-compliant processes and documentation standards 2. Requirements, Enhancements & Delivery Support (Transform) - Gather, clarify, and document business requirements for Nexus and related reporting solutions - Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and functional specifications - Support the end-to-end enhancement lifecycle - Participate in design and review sessions 3. Data & Reporting Consultation - Develop a strong understanding of Canada Trade domain processes and related data flows - Use SQL to perform data analysis and validation of business logic - Provide consultation on data structures, metrics, and reporting logic 4. Collaboration, Ways of Working & Documentation - Work in a cross-functional agile team - Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation - Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders 5. Continuous Improvement & Professional Growth - Identify opportunities to simplify processes and enhance data quality - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives - Build capabilities in cloud, data tools, and Nexus domain Minimum Qualifications: - Education: Full-time graduation from an accredited university - Experience: 3+ years in D&T / IT / Analytics or similar roles Preferred Qualifications: - Strong data analysis and SQL skills - Experience working with business stakeholders - Exposure to trade / commercial / sales processes - Good understanding of agile ways of working - Effective verbal and written communication skills General Mills is a company that prioritizes being a force for good and encourages continuous learning and growth.
