Role Overview: As a Master Data Model Engineer at the organization, your primary responsibility is to ensure the product designs are accurate for a flawless launch and can be manufactured at the lowest total enterprise cost. You will be executing Master Data Model Projects for GMSA and GMNA regions, updating MDMs using stakeholders' requirements through Unigraphics (NX), Teamcenter, and releasing quality MDMs for Manufacturing sites. Your role will involve working on multiple projects throughout the year to support the launch of various car programs. Key Responsibilities: - Learn GM Global Standards for BIW Assembly Updates, including Datum locating strategy for sheet metal parts. - Analyze inputs such as Product, Weld, Sealer, Assembly Sequence chart, and create Items for MDM, Product, Weld, Datum in Teamcenter as per GM global standards. - Generate necessary output/deliverables like Product Overlays, Weld consistency report, Datum consistency report, and more. - Perform Datum Consistency check, Creating assembly Sequence structure Views, Datum Synchronization, and DCS and Checkmate. - Communicate effectively within the team for project support & updates, and perform quality check activities on the MDM. - Participate in design review meetings with Suppliers, Product Engineer, Stakeholders, and support in Training New Engineers to enhance their technical skills. - Generate Improvement ideas to enhance the organization's productivity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Automobile Engineering. - Good knowledge of Automotive Vehicle / Body-In-white processes and product launch. - Proficiency in Teamcenter, NX, Vismockup, AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office applications. - Understanding of GVDP, Quality Chain, PFMEA, Project Management methodologies, GM-GMS Principles, and Workplace safety systems. - Familiarity with Basic Manufacturing Process and concepts, Communication skills, Learning Agility, Interpersonal, Problem-solving & Analytical skills, Basic Quality tools. - Ability to design work operations meeting safety, quality, and efficiency requirements, implement Global Manufacturing System (GMS) principles, work with diverse teams, manage multiple projects with autonomy, and demonstrate integrity, initiative, and self-direction.
