Job Description Quality Engineer – 4C (Manager) Experience 8–12 years of software quality engineering experience across web, API, and platform testing Experience leading quality efforts for medium to large engineering programs Proven experience driving automation adoption and improving test coverage Experience managing small teams of Quality Engineers and coordinating with Engineering and Product teams Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery models Automation & Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent Strong API testing experience using Postman or similar tools Comfortable with scripting in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Good understanding of Git, code reviews, and modern software development practices Quality Ownership Define test strategy and test plans for products and releases Drive automation coverage across functional, integration, and regression testing Ensure quality gates are met before releases Monitor quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, and release readiness Partner closely with developers to identify and resolve quality issues early Team & Stakeholder Management Lead and mentor Quality Engineers across projects Support hiring, onboarding, and capability building within the QE team Work closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Architects to drive quality outcomes Provide regular status updates on quality risks and release readiness AI & Modern QE Practices Leverage AI tools to improve test case creation, automation productivity, and defect analysis Exposure to testing AI-enabled applications, copilots, or GenAI workflows is preferred Drive adoption of modern quality engineering practices across the team Success Profile Strong automation-first mindset Good balance of technical depth and people leadership Able to independently own quality for a product area or program Comfortable working in fast-paced product engineering environments Uses data and metrics to drive quality improvements
