Role Overview: As a highly experienced Project Architect for Mixed Use, you will collaborate with the entire studio and lead teams to develop design solutions and coordinate through all phases of a project. Your industry expertise, design abilities, and technical acumen will be essential in driving projects from concept through construction. You are a recognized contributor to high-profile, design-driven projects, working in a highly creative, collaborative, and dedicated team environment that values innovative problem-solving and design excellence. Your role will involve working closely with the Principal-In-Charge, Design Director, and Design Manager to develop projects from conceptual design through execution. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the design and delivery for a range of project types in various settings, such as high-rise, commercial-office building led, or mixed-use - Lead project meetings and presentations, ensuring clients are adequately briefed on project progress - Develop a comprehensive understanding of clients' program requirements, standards, and policies to share with project teams - Lead communication between project team, clients, contractors, and consultants - Actively lead project teams of various sizes for successful delivery - Assist in establishing project budgets and milestone schedules in coordination with Design Manager and Design Director - Ensure all work is carried out to client requirements, with the design team working to correct specifications and delivering a high-quality product in a timely manner - Anticipate and resolve complex technical and design issues during document preparation and construction administration - Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and vendors to meet project objectives - Provide design and technical guidance, as well as innovative solutions to resolve design and technical challenges - Lead and mentor junior staff members, ensuring motivation and quality of work - Advocate for sustainability commitments internally and externally, making sustainability an integral part of every project - Define project sustainability targets in collaboration with clients and project teams - Support team members in pursuing sustainability learning - Contribute to office, regional, and sector business development initiatives - Participate in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture; Master's degree preferred - Registered Architect - Extensive portfolio of work, preferably in Data Centres, across various practice areas - 15+ years of project experience in an architectural practice with experience in several practice areas - Demonstrable experience in large projects with complex stakeholders - Ability to maintain and nurture existing client relationships and build new ones - Proven performance in leading the design and delivery process across the entire project lifecycle - Experience leading, managing, and mentoring multiple project teams - Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and relationship management skills - Advanced knowledge of architecture design principles, technical details, material characteristics, building codes, standards, and accessibility requirements - Ability to handle challenging situations with tact, grace, and emotional intelligence - Passion for design thinking and knowledge in sustainable design principles - LEED, WELL, Fitwel, LFA, or other rating systems accreditation preferable - Capacity to drive sustainability-focused discussions with clients and teams - Commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices, with previous experience in sustainable design projects preferred - Advanced knowledge of design software including Revit, Rhino, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Navisworks, etc. Role Overview: As a highly experienced Project Architect for Mixed Use, you will collaborate with the entire studio and lead teams to develop design solutions and coordinate through all phases of a project.
