Sr Manager, SW QA Engineering - Mobility

Gigamon India is looking for a strong Senior QA Manager to lead our dynamic GigaSMART team responsible for planning and testing embedded systems functionality with a focus on innovative high-performance applications in network security technologies. The Manager will manage resources effectively to deliver commitments on schedule, cultivate a high-performing team and constantly raise the bar. You will closely collaborate with peer development and QA teams, architects, customer support, and product line management. As a key member of the Engineering management staff, you will contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development processes, quality, and productivity improvements. What you ll do: Manage the GigaSMART Functional QA teams for the Gigamon s network visibility suite comprising of Mobility (4G/5G) solutions. Implement comprehensive automation gates to ensure functional accuracy, monitor the automation effectiveness through CI/CD, and follow an automated first model. Manage resources effectively to deliver commitments on schedule, cultivate a high performing team and constantly raise the bar, ability to attract, groom and retain top talent. Collaborate with peer development and QA teams, architecture, customer support, and product line management. Work with team for a functional testing strategy with focus on automation and customer use cases. As a key member of the Engineering management staff, contribute to the vision and strategy of continuous integration, improved development/QA processes, quality and productivity of test functions. Responsible for field escalations; working with support and development in troubleshooting and reproducing field reported escalation issues. Understand Product architecture and its implications on feature and system testing. What you ve done: 14-18 years (or more) of overall relevant industry experience and a track record of shipping core-networking products for the enterprise and service provider markets. At least 5 years of experience as a first/second-line manager leading the QA of networking software. Direct experience with designing and testing complex system/infrastructure software for Network Security technologies. In-depth knowledge of network management concepts and networking protocols is must (e. g. TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, TLS/SSL, IPv4, IPv6, REST). Experience with Network processors platforms like Cavium/Broadcom. Experience with various test automation framework (Robot, Python) and test automation tools. Knowledge of and/or experience with Mobility (LTE, 5G concepts) is an added advantage. Knowledge of any current virtualization software, tools, protocols, and standards, including vCenter, VMware ESXi/NSX-T, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc. ). Deep understanding of full product life cycle, software development methods (both Agile and Waterfall). Manage major software release deliveries as a release manager. Who you are: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening, and written communication skills, both within the team and across the organization. Ability to mentor/coach/teach/facilitate and lead change in a highly technical/dynamic team environment.
