Key Responsibilities: Designing and executing API tests: This includes creating test scripts, defining test scenarios, and running tests against APIs. Validating API requests and responses: Ensuring that APIs function as expected, including data formats, error handling, and security aspects. Ensuring data integrity: Verifying the accuracy and consistency of data being transferred through APIs. Collaborating with development teams: Working closely with developers to identify and fix issues, troubleshoot problems, and improve software quality. Analyzing requirements: Understanding the business requirements and translating them into testable specifications for APIs. Creating and maintaining test environments: Setting up and maintaining the necessary infrastructure for testing, including servers, databases, and other resources. Contributing to test documentation: Documenting test procedures, test cases, and results for future use. Identifying and documenting defects: Reporting and tracking defects discovered during testing. Participating in code reviews: Reviewing code for potential quality issues and suggesting improvements. Staying up-to-date with the latest API testing technologies and techniques: Keeping abreast of new tools and methodologies for API testing.
