Drupal Consultant

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Drupal Consultant to design, develop, optimize, and support Drupal-based websites and applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Drupal architecture, custom module development, theming, integrations, performance optimization, and best practices. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, designers, developers, and project managers to deliver scalable and secure digital solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain Drupal-based websites and enterprise applications. • Develop custom Drupal modules, themes, and extensions based on business requirements. • Configure Drupal core and contributed modules following best practices. Integrate Drupal with third-party systems, APIs, CRM, ERP, payment gateways, and external services. • Perform Drupal version upgrades, migrations, and content migration activities. Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support. • Optimize website performance, scalability, and security. Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards. • Collaborate with UXUI designers to implement responsive and accessible web interfaces. Work closely with DevOps teams for deployment automation and CICD implementation. • Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, estimation, and technical documentation. • Ensure compliance with security standards and Drupal coding best practices. • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance where required. Required Skills: • Strong experience with Drupal 10 or newer versions. • Expertise in PHP, MySQLMariaDB, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Experience with Drupal custom module development. • Understanding of Drupal theming. Experience with Drupal Views, Content Types, Taxonomy, Blocks, Menus, Paragraphs, and Layout Builder. • Knowledge of Composer, Drush, and Drupal configuration management. Experience with REST APIs, JSON, GraphQL, or SOAP integrations. • Familiarity with Git and version control best practices. • Experience with Ubuntu desired Understanding of caching mechanisms, including Redis, Varnish, and CDN integration. Experience with responsive design and accessibility standards WCAG. • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with Acquia, Pantheon, or other Drupal hosting platforms. • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CICD pipelines. • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Understanding of SEO best practices for Drupal websites. • Drupal certification is a plus. Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 5-10 years of hands-on Drupal development and consulting experience. • Proven experience delivering or supporting enterprise-scale Drupal implementations • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Stakeholder Management Technical Documentation Agile Delivery
