Mechanical Design Engineer

JD for Mech Design Engg position - Pune Skillset Technical and Tools 1) Engineering Fundamentals (Strong) 2) Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations (Reasonably well) 3) DFM and DFA (Strong) 4) CAD Solid Works (Strong) 5) Drawing Interpretation (Master) 6) Windchill PLM and PDM (Master) Job Description 1) Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 8+ years’ experience in design and development of mechanical subsystem and component. 2) Must be very good and hands on with 2D & 3D (Solidworks) 3) Demonstrated design experience in electro-mechanical product design and material selection. Proficiency in injection molded parts, sheet metal and structural part design. 4) Good understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability/assembly (DFM/DFA). 5) Experienced in Change management (ECR / ECN). 6) Experienced in Technical Risk Assessment/FMEA 7) Knowledgeable in product Verification/Validation (V&V) 8) Interpret gaps between physical samples and drawings, perform design changes in 3D model and drawings. 9) Should have working experience with the medical standards: IEC 60601-1, ISO 14971, ISO 13485 10) Working experience with Engineering prototypes Skillset Behavioural 1) Strong Communication and Presentation skills: Ability to present technical data/concepts effectively to various audiences/stakeholders. 2) Self-driven, proactive, and committed to continuous learning. 3) Functional competencies: Analytical/Fact Based/Logical problem solver 4) Excellent collaboration skills.
