About the role
Title: Red Hat Linux Administrator (MidLevel) Department: Infrastructure / Cloud Position Summary: The Red Hat Linux Administrator will be responsible for monitoring system health and performance, optimizing Linux configurations, and ensuring secure, efficient operations. This role involves troubleshooting complex Linux server issues, collaborating with crossfunctional teams, and implementing disaster recovery strategies. The ideal candidate will have solid scripting, automation, and containerization expertise, along with a proactive mindset and handson approach. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor system health, performance, and optimize Linux configurations. - Provide support for complex Linux server issues and resolve incidents efficiently. - Coordinate regular system backups and participate in disaster recovery planning. - Integrate thirdparty software and hardware components into Linux systems. - Document processes, SOPs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. - Collaborate on infrastructure modernization initiatives and provide Linuxbased solutions. - Implement security measures and best practices to protect Linux systems. - Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl. - Work with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet). - Support containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Qualifications & Skills: - Proficiency in Red Hat Linux administration. - Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl). - Knowledge of network/application protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, SFTP, HTTP, TLS, SSH). - Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles for Linux systems. - Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet). - Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities. - Proactive, teamoriented mindset with ownership of deliverables. .
