About the role
You will be responsible for combining software development and IT operations practices to shorten the systems delivery life cycle and provide a continuous delivery platform. Your key responsibilities will include: - Architecting and implementing automated build, test, and deployment workflows using tools like Harness.io and GitHub Actions. - Continuously improving pipeline reliability, speed, and maintainability via templating, modularization, and best practices. - Developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines using Terraform. - Ensuring consistent provisioning and configuration of cloud resources (compute, networking, storage, IAM). - Operating and optimizing components in AWS or Google Cloud Platform. - Monitoring cost, performance, and security posture and recommending/implementing improvements. - Working with application teams to onboard services onto CI/CD pipelines, define branching strategies, and automate release gates. - Collaborating with security and compliance teams to integrate policies into pipelines and drive remediation efforts. - Building reusable pipeline templates and shared libraries to accelerate delivery across teams. - Integrating testing frameworks and observability tools into workflows. - Diagnosing and resolving pipeline failures, infrastructure provisioning errors, or environment drift. - Configuring and maintaining secure and reliable log forwarding from application and infrastructure layers to observability platforms. - Helping other developers on the team with technical issues and onboarding them to the frameworks. - Partnering with development and project teams to improve systems processes and provide necessary support. - Migrating older technology implementations to modern container/Kubernetes platforms. In addition, you will be required to have the following qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT with expertise in complex technology solutions. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), experience with policy-as-code tools, exposure to security automation, understanding of Git branching strategies, cloud certifications, SAFe certification, experience with managing legacy code, experience with SF DX, and experience with continuous integration build engines. You will be expected to have wide-ranging experience, use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues, work on complex problems, and determine methods and procedures for new assignments. You may also coordinate activities of other personnel as a Team Lead.
