About the role
Global Payments is hiring an Associate Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in Pune to support the reliability, automation, performance, and scalability of critical platforms powering global payment services. The role combines Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Test Automation, Cloud Infrastructure, ITIL, and Production Support. The engineer will contribute to automation initiatives, troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues, improve operational processes, and help build reliable and maintainable testing and validation frameworks. Key responsibilities include applying SRE and ITIL practices, evaluating manual support activities for automation opportunities, troubleshooting test cases and job failures within defined SLAs, maintaining automation scripts, and developing tools and frameworks for functional, integration, validation, and verification testing. The role also involves collaborating with developers, business teams, analysts, and stakeholders to create test plans and test cases, supporting cloud-based applications and infrastructure, and bridging the gap between development and production support teams. The position may require shift work and weekend on-call support. .
