Technology Evaluation • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, databases (SQL vs. NoSQL), and cloud services based on business requirements, scalability, and long-term maintainability. Engineering Standards • Establish coding standards, architectural guidelines, API contracts (REST/GraphQL), and CI/CD best practices across engineering teams. Hands-on Engineering Core Development • Develop clean, maintainable, production-quality code for critical platform components and shared libraries. Proof of Concepts (PoCs) • Build prototypes to validate new technologies, architectural approaches, and modernization initiatives before large-scale implementation. Technical Problem Solving • Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for complex, cross-functional engineering challenges. Strategic Leadership & Mentorship Architecture & Code Reviews • Perform in-depth architectural and code reviews to ensure scalability, security, maintainability, and adherence to engineering standards. Mentoring • Mentor and coach senior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, pair programming, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Product & Engineering Collaboration • Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leadership to align technical roadmap, architectural improvements, and technical debt reduction with business priorities. Job Responsibilities: Experience & Qualifications • 13+ years of experience in Software Engineering. • Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Staff Engineer. • Proven experience in owning the complete software development lifecycle, from solution design to high-scale production deployment. • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts and architectural trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including CTOs and Product Leadership.
