Principal Engineer OneAPI (Backend, API Design Expertise)

As a Principal Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable, distributed, and performant systems. Your role will involve providing strong technical leadership, driving engineering excellence, and mentoring teams while working hands-on across backend technologies and cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end system design and architecture for large-scale distributed applications - Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions across multiple teams - Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend systems - Define and enforce best practices for system design, API design, and coding standards - Lead architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to engineering teams - Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Cloud teams for seamless delivery - Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance optimization - Mentor senior engineers and foster technical excellence Qualifications Required: - Strong hands-on experience in Java (Spring Boot, Microservices architecture) and GoLang (preferred) - Experience in building and scaling distributed systems with a deep understanding of RESTful API design & event-driven architectures - Strong knowledge of distributed system principles, design patterns, scalability & fault tolerance, performance optimization, caching strategies, and database design (SQL & NoSQL) - Experience with AWS Cloud services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, IAM, etc. - Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring & observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.) - Strong leadership and decision-making abilities, excellent stakeholder communication, ability to influence cross-functional teams, and strategic thinking with a hands-on execution mindset About the Company: GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, is a trusted digital engineering partner to the worlds largest and most forward-thinking companies.
