Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) — Remote (India) About The Opportunity A fast-growing technology company operating in the software development and platform/SaaS sector, delivering scalable web and API-driven products to global customers. We build modern engineering teams that prioritise automation, reliability, and rapid delivery. Role & Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites for web applications and backend APIs using industry-standard tools. Develop reliable end-to-end, UI and API automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback. Collaborate with product, backend, and frontend engineers to define test strategy, acceptance criteria, and boundary cases; translate requirements into automated tests. Author and maintain BDD/feature tests and data-driven test scenarios; ensure high regression coverage and test reliability across releases. Perform root-cause analysis for defects, triage issues with engineering teams, and improve test stability and flakiness mitigation practices. Define and report test metrics (coverage, pass rates, automation ROI); drive automation best practices, mentorship, and code quality standards.
