ROLE SNAPSHOT Position Sr QA Engineer Employment Type Contract Experience Level 6+Years Qualification UG/PG Reporting To QA Manager Location Bangalore -Diary Circle POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Tester with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Selenium, and API Automation. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks, along with experience in API testing and Agile development methodologies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver . Develop and execute automation test cases for web applications. Perform API automation testing using tools such as Rest Assured , Postman , or similar frameworks. Create and maintain reusable automation frameworks following industry best practices. Execute regression, smoke, sanity, and functional test suites. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings in an Agile environment. Prepare test plans, test cases, and automation reports. Continuously improve automation coverage and testing processes. Schedule and conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and value-add interactions to deepen client relationships Proactively share relevant market insights, product updates, and tailored solutions to create ongoing value for clients Anticipate client needs before they are expressed demonstrate initiative by offering solutions ahead of problems arising Handle client concerns and objections with professionalism, empathy, and a solution-first mindset at every stage Build trust through reliability always follow through on commitments, respond promptly, and communicate proactively Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within the existing client base through attentive relationship management REQUIRED SKILL 6+ years of experience in QA Automation Testing. Strong programming skills in Java. Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Experience in API Automation using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar tools. Good understanding of API testing concepts (REST, JSON, HTTP methods). Experience with TestNG or JUnit. Experience with Maven or Gradle. Knowledge of Git/GitHub or other version control systems. Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA. Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is preferred. Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Attributes Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. Knowledge of SQL and database testing. Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter is an added advantage. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
