About the role
Role Overview: You have an excellent opportunity to work as an experienced draftsman alongside a skilled technical team on high-profile building projects. Your main responsibility will be translating engineering concepts into precise structural drawings, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Complete drafting and detailing tasks assigned by structural engineers. - Develop conceptual ideas into detailed drawing outputs, including general arrangement drawings, structural layouts, sections, details, and schematic drawings. - Take ownership of drawing issues and maintain digital and hard copy project file storage. - Adhere to the office CAD manual, quality manual, and procedures. - Ensure delivery of drawing work according to project programmes and deadlines. - Coordinate and attend meetings with external consultants. - Plan and organize your workload and that of the project CAD team. - Assist in developing and improving CAD systems and procedures. - Comply with health, safety, and quality management policies and procedures. Qualification Required: - Diploma in Civil Engineering from a reputed institution. - Minimum 10 years of experience in building projects within a structural consultancy office. Additional Details: You should possess technical skills such as being a competent user of the latest AutoCAD versions, experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel general arrangement drawings, and hands-on 3D modeling experience using Revit software. Moreover, you should have strong communication skills, good interpersonal skills, flexibility in handling responsibilities, and the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workload effectively both independently and within a team environment.
