About the role
Role & responsibilities Conduct testing of EPDM compounds and finished products as per ASTM, ISO, OEM, and customer specifications (Rheometer Cure Characteristics, Mooney Viscosity Testing, Specific Gravity Testing, Accelerated Aging Tests etc) Analyze test results and prepare technical reports. Identify non-conformities and support corrective actions. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including (Rheometer, Mooney Viscometer, Universal Tensile Testing Machine (UTM), Hardness Tester, Aging Oven, Density Measurement Equipment). Ensure calibration and preventive maintenance of testing instruments Maintain laboratory records, test reports, and sample traceability. Assist R&D in formulation development and compound evaluation. Conduct validation testing for new products and raw materials. Support root cause analysis of product failures and customer complaints. Recommend process and formulation improvements based on test data. Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, test methods, and validation reports Preferred candidate profile B.E./B.Tech in Polymer Engineering, Rubber Technology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering. 38 years of experience in EPDM/rubber testing laboratories preferred. Experience operating rheometers, Mooney viscometers, and tensile testing equipment. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with statistical tools (SPC, MSA, CAPA, FMEA).
