About the role
Role Overview: As an Associate in Business Operations and Strategy at Google, you will be part of a team that tackles challenging business problems. Your role will involve diving deep into data analysis, generating insights, and crafting strategic recommendations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, present your findings to senior executives, and actively participate in the implementation of solutions. Your responsibilities will also include supporting scaled systems of review, enhancing operational efficiency, addressing legal challenges, and educating internal stakeholders. You are expected to be a critical thinker with strong analytical skills, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for coaching and setting high standards. Key Responsibilities: - Drive analytics efforts to address international regulations like Article 17 of EUCD by providing transparency data for YouTubes copyright narrative and analyzing EU copyright operations for risk monitoring. - Utilize advanced statistical methods to predict and prevent abuse of copyright processes, collaborating with abuse teams to develop strategies against abuse vectors. - Learn and apply complex technical concepts to deliver meaningful results, effectively communicating technical findings. - Maintain and enhance Copyright Operations quality by providing feedback metrics to global review teams, managing technological solutions for quality assurance, and creating scalable training programs. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Quantitative Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - 1 year of experience in statistical problem-solving and data analysis using SQL or a comparable coding language (e.g. Python, R, Java, C). - 1 year of experience in collecting, managing, and synthesizing data sets from various sources for analysis and modeling. Preferred Qualifications: - 5 years of experience in an investigative role. - Experience working with tech teams to optimize machine learning models. - Proficiency in project management, process optimization, and data analytics, delivering actionable insights. - Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, JS, R, or SAS. - Experience in abuse prevention, policy, and regulatory systems.
