About the role
You will be working as a Security Analyst in Enterprise Security Operations (ESO) at Alphabet. ESO plays a crucial role in driving global security operations and aims to enhance automation, efficiency, and overall security for the organization. The team operates in a fast-paced environment and focuses on continuously improving security processes through automation. As a Security Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on security scenarios across various domains, expanding your expertise and addressing different security issues. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct varied security reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with enterprise standards. - Apply security judgment to approve, deny, or escalate requests based on risk and policy alignment. - Develop a strong understanding of Google's internal security frameworks, controls, and policies. - Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and business units to provide security guidance and facilitate informed decision-making. - Identify and implement opportunities to automate workflows, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 1 year of experience in analyzing cyber threats. - Experience in security analysis, security assessment, risk analysis, and risk assessments. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 2 years of experience in security operations or assurance. - Experience in conducting security assessments or reviews to assess underlying risk. - Proficiency in automation, process optimization, and security tools to improve assessment efficiency. - Ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks effectively. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
