About the role
As an Interaction Designer at Google, you will play a crucial role in making complex tasks intuitive and easy-to-use for billions of users worldwide. You will be part of Google's User Experience (UX) team, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to create industry-leading products that prioritize user needs and experiences. Role Overview: At Google, the primary focus is on the user, and as an Interaction Designer, you will be responsible for envisioning how users will experience Google products, ensuring they are inspired, refined, and magical. Your role will involve leveraging user-centered design methods to craft innovative user experiences from concept to execution, collaborating closely with design partners to create products that users love. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide creative solutions. - Communicate user experiences through wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high-fidelity prototypes at various stages of the design process. - Integrate user feedback and advocate for design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements. - Contribute to feature development in Android Studio tooling, focusing on application debugging and profiling tools. - Understand platform capabilities, technical constraints, and developer workflows to design effective solutions for various input modalities. - Embrace a builder mindset by exploring solutions through prototyping and design. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 6 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design. - Portfolio or relevant links to your work. - Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). - 8 years of experience in product design or User Experience (UX) (preferred). - 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization (preferred). - 2 years of experience leading design projects (preferred). - 1 year of experience working with executive leaders (preferred). - Interest in designing developer experiences, crafting intuitive workflows, and data visualization.
