Documentation Engineer

Design and Documentation Engineer-Pronutec Process status: Open Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu Offer details: Gorlan India is in the business of providing LV switching solutions catering to the needs of the Energy, Residential/Commercial, Industrial Railway industries. We have an aspiration to grow significantly by expanding our offerings and we re in search of Design and Documentation engineers to provide global engineering back-office support to our Spain RD team. Objectives of this role: Development and customization of BOM (Bill of materials), 2D drawing, 3D Model and ERP updates, product lifecycle documentation for the global RD Team in Spain. Responsibilities: BOM Correction, BOM Customization. Sub-assemblies correction Customized code creation Product customization and labelling on requirement Data label maintenance in ERP Documentation and distribution. 2D and 3D drawing creation PPAPS (Product life cycle documentation to cover compliance requirements as per European standards) Required skills and qualification: 1. Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent) with specialization in mechanical/electrical engineering 2. English speaking and writing skills and working knowledge of MS Office products and exposure to ERP updation 3. Experience in the following SW | Creo Elements/Direct Modelling tools like Solid Works/Solid Edge or similar 4. Having worked in Checking draw ings and interpreting them 5. ERP data updates Desired skills and Qualification 1. Experience of having worked in switchgear industry 2. Experience of working in ERP Software like Infor LN 3. Experience in the design of injection-molded plastic parts. It is desirable to have some knowledge of mold structures to be able to draw the parts with draft angles, drafting, etc.
