Lead Data Scientist

You will be working as a Lead Data Scientist (L5) - Implementation Lead responsible for driving the implementation of data science solutions and leading teams to ensure scalable and repeatable execution. Your role will involve end-to-end ownership of data science and AI initiatives, team management, SOP setup, and collaboration with various teams for successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end implementation of data science and AI initiatives, including spearheading implementations for specific clients - Lead and manage a team of Data Scientists and Implementation Leads - Establish, document, and enhance SOPs for efficient delivery and implementation processes - Drive the execution of NLP and ML-based solutions - Utilize GenAI tools such as LLMs, copilots, and prompt-based tools to enhance productivity and project delivery - Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables Qualifications Required: - 6-10 years of experience in Data Science / Applied AI roles - Proficiency in Python programming with skills in pandas, NumPy, and advanced Python concepts - Hands-on experience with NLP - Demonstrated expertise in team management and end-to-end project ownership - Previous experience in creating and maintaining SOPs, preferably in a product company setting - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities Technical Skills (Must-Have): - Databricks - LLMs - Data Science expertise - NLP - GenAI - Proficiency in SQL + Python/Pyspark - Excellent debugging skills with the ability to identify root causes of errors and troubleshoot effectively Good to Have: - Exposure to MLOps tools like FastAPI and Docker - Experience working in enterprise or product-led environments This role offers you the opportunity to lead and drive the implementation of cutting-edge data science solutions while managing a team and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
