About the role
As a Junior Solar Design Engineer / Draftsman at G.S.S.N, you will play a crucial role in the projects by transforming the expertise of Senior Engineers into precise technical drawings. Your responsibilities will include: - Drafting & Strength Analysis: Creating detailed drawings for mounting structures and conducting strength analysis such as Weight loading & Wind load. - Topography & Civil Work: Working on land contouring, foundations, and civil layout drawings for ground-mount projects in Tamil Nadu. - Site Surveys: Traveling to sites to gather topographical data and roof measurements. - BOM Generation: Developing accurate Bill of Materials for steel and civil components. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Background: A degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with a strong interest/certification in Solar. - Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp. Knowledge of structural analysis tools would be advantageous. - Mindset: Ability to translate field inputs (topography/soil) into practical engineering drawings.
