Database Administrator (DBA) | 510 Years | Kolkata GridCrest Technologies by Kaynes is a leading Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Provider (AMISP) delivering Smart Metering, AMI, HES, MDM, IoT, and Utility Technology solutions across India. We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support our cloud infrastructure, smart metering platforms, and large-scale database environments. Role: Database Administrator (DBA) Experience: 510 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Administer, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL & TimescaleDB environments. Manage database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, backup, and recovery. Configure PostgreSQL replication, failover, high availability, and disaster recovery mechanisms. Implement TimescaleDB hypertables, retention policies, compression, and continuous aggregates for large-scale telemetry data. Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP . Deploy and support Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications . Configure monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch . Manage HES/MDM operations and support smart metering data flows. Troubleshoot database, application, Linux server, and network-related issues. PostgreSQL Administration Timescale DB SQL Performance Tuning Database Backup & Recovery (pgBackRest/WAL) PostgreSQL Replication & High Availability AWS / Azure / GCP Docker & Kubernetes HES / MDM Operations Linux Administration Network Troubleshooting Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical, Computer Science, IT, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Smart Metering, AMI, HES, or MDM environments.Experience managing large-scale time-series and transactional databases.Ability to work in critical operational and billing-cycle environments. Work on large-scale Smart Metering & Utility Transformation projects. Exposure to Cloud, IoT, Big Data, and Advanced Metering technologies.
