Role Overview: As a SQL Developer in the backend engineering team, you will be the "Data Architect" and "Query Performance Specialist." Your main responsibility will be designing, creating, and managing complex relational databases while ensuring high standards of data availability and integrity. You will play a crucial role as the "Information Gatekeeper," translating business requirements into efficient stored procedures and database structures. The ideal candidate should be logical, performance-driven, capable of handling large datasets, and optimizing the engine that supports the company's reporting and application systems. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize SQL expertise (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) to an expert level. - Implement partitioning, indexing techniques, and execution plans for optimization. - Demonstrate knowledge of Star/Snowflake schemas and proficiency in ER (Entity-Relationship) modeling. - Showcase skills in procedural logic with cursors, CTEs, and window functions in T-SQL (SQL Server) or PL/SQL (Oracle). - Possess excellent analytical abilities and effectively communicate technical data limitations to non-technical stakeholders.
