We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Passive Network / Structured Cabling Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems for enterprise, commercial, industrial, and data center environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with copper and fiber cabling infrastructure, including installation, testing, documentation, and coordination with network and security teams. Key Responsibilities - - Install and maintain structured cabling systems including CAT6, CAT6A, and Fiber Optic cabling. - Perform cable routing, dressing, labeling, termination, and cable management activities. - Install and configure patch panels, I/O nodes, faceplates, network racks, and related passive components. - Conduct fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and cable certification testing. - Coordinate with active networking and security teams during project deployments. - Troubleshoot and resolve physical connectivity and cable-related issues. - Maintain accurate documentation including cable layouts, labeling records, and network diagrams. - Ensure rack cleanliness and adherence to cable management standards. - Support installation and cabling for CCTV systems, Access Control Systems, Wi-Fi Access Points, and IP Telephony. - Follow industry standards, safety guidelines, and best practices during implementation. - Prepare daily work reports, site updates, and project status reports. - Assist in data center cabling and infrastructure implementation activities. Required Skills - Robust knowledge of structured cabling standards such as TIA/EIA. - Experience in UTP, STP, and Fiber Optic cabling. - Familiarity with fiber splicing and testing procedures. - Understanding of racks, patch panels, cable trays, conduits, and passive network infrastructure. - Basic understanding of LAN/WAN networking concepts. - Ability to read and interpret network layouts, schematics, and floor plans. - Positive troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications - Diploma / ITI / Bachelors Degree in Electronics, Networking, IT, or related field. - Certification in Fiber Optic Technology or Structured Cabling preferred. - 13 years of experience in passive networking or structured cabling projects. Tools & Equipment Knowledge Candidates should have hands-on experience with: - Crimping Tools - Fluke Cable Tester - OTDR Machine - Fusion Splicer - Punch Down Tool - Labeling Machine Work Environment - Office Buildings - Data Centers - Industrial Sites - Customer Locations for implementation and support activities Additional Expectations - Willingness to travel to customer sites as required. - Flexibility to work during maintenance windows or after office hours when necessary. - Ability to coordinate with OEMs, vendors, contractors, and facility teams. Preferred Candidate Profile - Self-motivated and disciplined professional. - Ability to work independently and within project teams. - Solid focus on quality, safety, and timely project delivery. - Good documentation and reporting skills.
