Senior Data Engineer | Snowflake, dbt & Matillion Locations: Hyderabad / Ahmedabad Experience: 58 Years CTC: 15 21 LPA (Up to 22 LPA for Hyderabad candidates) Work Mode: 5 Days Work From Office Notice Period: Immediate Joiners Preferred (Maximum 15 Days) Interview Process: 4 Rounds (Including HR Discussion) About the Role Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion Data Productivity Cloud, with hands-on experience designing scalable data pipelines, implementing modern data architectures, and delivering enterprise-grade data solutions. This role requires a combination of strong technical capabilities, project ownership, stakeholder management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced client-facing environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion DPC. Build and maintain modern data architectures, including Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and dimensional data models. Develop robust data ingestion frameworks from APIs, cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake), databases, and SaaS applications. Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, and cost through warehouse tuning, clustering, and query optimization. Create reusable data transformation models using dbt, including macros, tests, documentation, and version control. Implement workflow orchestration using dbt Cloud, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or Matillion DPC. Ensure data governance, security, encryption, RBAC, and compliance best practices. Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients to translate requirements into scalable data solutions. Drive end-to-end project delivery and mentor junior team members. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt in production environments. Proven experience implementing data solutions using Matillion DPC or Matillion ETL. Strong communication skills with experience working directly with business stakeholders and clients. Ability to independently own and deliver projects from design to production.
