SAP Basis Consultant Location: Bengaluru | Pune | Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary GyanSys is looking for experienced SAP Basis Consultants to join our SAP Technology practice. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP system administration, installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization across SAP landscapes. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, security, and reliability of SAP environments while supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, administer, and maintain SAP systems across development, quality, and production environments. Perform SAP system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, support pack implementations, and patch management. Monitor and optimize SAP system performance, database health, and overall landscape stability. Manage SAP transports, user administration, roles, authorizations, and system security. Support SAP HANA database administration, backup, recovery, and performance tuning activities. Collaborate with functional and technical teams during SAP implementation, migration, upgrade, and rollout projects. Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution of production incidents. Perform system monitoring, job scheduling, spool management, and background job administration. Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with SAP standards and best practices. Support high availability, disaster recovery, and system maintenance activities. Required Technical Skills Strong expertise in SAP Basis Administration SAP S/4HANA and SAP NetWeaver Administration SAP HANA Database Administration System Installation, Configuration, and Landscape Management Kernel Upgrades, Support Packs, and Patch Management Transport Management System (TMS) Client Administration and System Refreshes Performance Monitoring and System Tuning User Administration, Roles, and Authorizations Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery Planning Preferred Skills Experience with SAP Solution Manager and SAP Cloud ALM Exposure to SAP BTP administration Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows server administration Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP Understanding of automation and scripting (Shell, PowerShell, Python) is an added advantage Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
