You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and services that power modern SaaS products. The RoleAs a Backend Engineer, you will work across backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, third-party integrations, and distributed systems. You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable, and secure software solutions that support business growth and customer success. ResponsibilitiesDesigning, building, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs.Developing and supporting integrations with third-party platforms and external services.Building reliable event-driven and asynchronous systems.Designing database schemas and optimizing data access strategies.Collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver new features and capabilities.Improving system performance, reliability, observability, and security.Participating in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.Troubleshooting production issues and driving root-cause resolution.Contributing to engineering best practices, code reviews, and technical documentation. Ideal ProfileYou have 35 years of professional backend engineering experience.You possess strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.You have extensive experience building applications with Node.js in production environments.You are skilled in designing and developing REST APIs and backend services.You have experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.You are comfortable working with AWS services including Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.You have experience integrating third-party APIs and SaaS platforms.You understand authentication and authorization concepts including OAuth, JWT, and SSO.You are familiar with distributed systems, caching strategies, background jobs, and event-driven architectures.You demonstrate strong ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills.You are comfortable working independently in fast-paced and evolving environments.You possess strong communication skills and a product-focused mindset.
