Test Data Management (TDM) Engineer

Grade: B2(4 TO 6 years) Location : Bangalore Test Data Management (TDM) Engineer Capgemini is seeking a Test Data Management (TDM) Engineer to support the transformation of our data landscape from legacy on-premise systems to a modern Azure Lakehouse platform. You will be responsible for designing, provisioning, and managing test data environments that ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant testing across hybrid infrastructure. This role is critical to enabling agile delivery, automation, and data quality assurance across multiple teams and locations. Key Responsibilities Test Data Strategy & Design Develop and implement test data management strategies aligned with the organisation s cloud migration roadmap. Design synthetic and masked data sets for functional, integration, and performance testing across Azure and on-prem environments. Data Provisioning & Automation Automate test data generation, refresh, and teardown processes using tools such as Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Python, and SQL. Integrate TDM processes into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment. Hybrid Environment Support Manage test data across both on-premise systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and Azure services (e.g., Synapse Analytics, Data Lake Storage, Delta Lake). Ensure consistency and traceability of test data across environments during the migration process. Data Quality & Compliance Implement data masking, subsetting, and validation techniques to ensure data privacy and compliance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, GDPR, and CCPA. Monitor and report on test data quality, availability, and usage metrics. Collaboration & Governance Work closely with QA, DevOps, Data Engineering, and Solution Design teams to align test data practices with delivery goals. Contribute to the development of data governance frameworks and test data standards. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 4+ years of experience in test data management, data engineering, or QA automation. Strong SQL skills and experience with data masking, subsetting, and synthetic data generation. Familiarity with Azure data services and on-premise database platforms. Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and automation tools.
