Designation: Firmware Lead / Firmware Manager SoC Development Type of Position: Regular, Exempt Experience: 815 Years Reports To: CEO/VP Engineering Location: Bangalore, India Job Description: The Firmware Lead/Manager will own the architecture, development, integration, and delivery of firmware required to bring complex mixed-signal and wireless SoCs from silicon to production. The role includes close collaboration with Architecture, RTL Design, Analog/Mixed-Signal, Verification, Physical Design, DFT, Software, Applications Engineering, and Product Engineering teams. The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with ARM subsystems, boot firmware, BSP development, device drivers, wireless firmware, silicon bring-up, and production firmware. Key Responsibilities: SoC Firmware Architecture: Define the firmware architecture for ARM-based SoCs.Develop scalable firmware frameworks supporting multiple product families.Partition functionality between hardware, firmware, and software.Review hardware architecture and influence SoC feature definitions.Establish coding standards, architecture guidelines, and firmware design principles.
