Senior Business Analyst - Insurance Domain Years of Experience: 8-10 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, document business processes, and support digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance workflows, regulatory compliance, and the ability to translate business needs into functional specifications. Job Description: Business Analyst ? Insurance (5 - 11 Years Experience) Location: Bangalore Experience: 5 - 11 Years Domain: Insurance (Life & Annuity preferred) Role Overview We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst with strong Insurance domain expertise to drive business requirement analysis, solution definition, and stakeholder alignment across insurance transformation initiatives. The individual will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring delivery of scalable, compliant, and high-impact solutions. Key Responsibilities 1. Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering Engage with business stakeholders (underwriters, claims, operations, finance teams) to understand requirements Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement elicitation sessions Document BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and process flows Perform gap analysis between current and target-state processes 2. Insurance Domain Expertise Work across key insurance value chain areas: Policy administration (New business, endorsements, renewals) Underwriting workflows Claims processing (FNOL to settlement) Billing & collections Ensure alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements Support ESG, risk, and reporting-related initiatives where applicable 3. Solution Design & Stakeholder Management Translate business requirements into functional specifications Collaborate with solution architects and development teams Facilitate stakeholder sign-offs and manage expectation alignment Support product owners in backlog prioritization (Agile environments) 4. Process Optimization & Transformation Identify automation and optimization opportunities Drive digital transformation initiatives (AI/Automation/Workflow) Recommend improvements in operational efficiency, turnaround time, and cost 5. Testing & UAT Support Define test scenarios, review test cases, and validate functional outputs Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Ensure requirements traceability and defect resolution 6. Documentation & Governance Maintain high-quality documentation standards Ensure traceability matrix (RTM) and audit readiness Support reporting and governance reviews Required Skills & Competencies Functional Skills Strong understanding of Insurance domain Exposure to platforms such as: Guidewire / Duck Creek / Sapiens / Majesco (preferred) Knowledge of: Claims lifecycle Underwriting processes Policy lifecycle Regulatory frameworks Technical / Analytical Skills Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, MS Excel Ability to create process maps, data flows, and functional models Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, and data structures Soft Skills Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams Analytical thinking with attention to detail Problem-solving and decision-making mindset Preferred Qualifications MBA / PGDM / Bachelor?s in Engineering or relevant field Certifications: IIBA (CBAP / CCBA) Insurance-specific certifications (LOMA, CPCU, etc.) Experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies Senior Business Analyst - Insurance Domain Years of Experience: 8-10 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in the insurance domain.
