Testing (API)

You will be responsible for API testing as a QA engineer, working with a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of Web applications. In this role, you will review requirements, design specifications, or stories to provide timely feedback and create detailed test plans and test cases independently. Your work will focus on improving features through testing in an agile development environment. Key Responsibilities: - Analyzing middle tier technology problems and testing using REST API web services - Collaborating with testing, developers, and architects to collect requirements for service testing and virtualization - Utilizing API testing tools such as POSTMAN, Rest Client, Anypoint - Hands-on experience with REST ASSURED/JUnit framework for API testing - Proficiency in Java IDE (e.g. Eclipse) and tools like GIT, JIRA - Understanding various REST API types (GET, PUT, POST, DELETE) and their functionalities - Familiarity with HTTP, JSON protocol, and message schema - Working in Agile methodology/SAFe with in-sprint automation - Exposure to product testing, test management tools, and complete STLC Qualifications Required: - Strong technical background with excellent communication skills - Experience with Agile Methodology - Ability to raise bugs in JIRA and participate in defect triage calls - Understanding of STUB/Service virtualization - Knowledge of Message Request-Response mechanism and RAML (Note: Additional details about the company are not provided in the job description) You will be responsible for API testing as a QA engineer, working with a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of Web applications.
