Key Skills Substation Switchyard Detail Design Engineer 220kV 765kV AutoCAD Overview Drafting Electrical Roles Responsibilities Develop detailed electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics for substations. Create general arrangement (GA) layouts, panel layouts, and cable routing diagrams. Prepare earthing and lightning protection system layouts. Work closely with electrical engineers to ensure designs meet technical and functional specifications. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to incorporate revisions. Ensure designs adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, and local regulations). Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. Maintain and update project documentation, including revisions and as-built drawings. Prepare bill of materials (BOM) based on the drawings. Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent. Work with electrical design tools for substation modeling. Identify and resolve discrepancies in drawings or technical documentation. Support troubleshooting by providing accurate design details.
