About the role
As a candidate for the role at HARTING, you will be responsible for the following: - Create and manage Feature Templates, reusable modeling components, and libraries to enhance efficiency and quality in product design. - Define and promote best practices for parametric, associative, and feature-based modeling in Siemens NX. - Drive digitalization and automation of design processes through knowledge-based engineering and NX Feature Templates. - Collaborate with global engineering and design teams to implement and harmonize standards. - Create and manage Siemens Teamcenter Configurators to support product development. - Work independently and proactively, thinking beyond routine tasks and contributing innovative ideas that challenge conventional approaches and improve overall design efficiency. To qualify for this position, you should have: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related technical field. - Extensive experience in CAD design, preferably in industrial, automotive, or mechanical product development. - Proven expertise in Siemens NX (advanced modeling, re-use libraries, feature templates). - Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter, especially in configuration and variant management (Teamcenter Configurator). - Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing according to ISO GPS. - In-depth knowledge of design methodologies, drafting principles, and product lifecycle management. - Experience in standardization and knowledge-based engineering and design automation. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured working style. - Experience working in international, cross-functional teams. - Excellent communication skills in English with the ability to collaborate across regions and disciplines.
