About HASH
Our mission is to solve information failure, and help everybody make the right decisions. HASH provides an open-source platform which integrates both unstructured information and structured data alike into a unified knowledge/process graph that enables simulation, optimization and automation of the real-world.
We're unapologetically excited about our mission, believe actions speak louder than words, and measure performance by output. We prioritize execution speed, and measure product delivery timelines in hours and days, not months and years. We value high-energy, high-expectations people who do what they say and say what they mean. We're committed to building a high-ambition, high-trust environment, and believe that the best teams are most productive together, in-person.
About the role
HASH is growing rapidly, and we've set up a new office in Berlin (Germany). As Technical Founder's Associate you will work directly alongside HASH's founder/CEO to establish this new base, working in-person.
You'll work across the entire business, on different challenges every week. However, generally speaking, your role will be split between three main areas:
- Making the company run like clockwork: co-designing processes with management, overseeing their execution, and automating them as we scale (or delegating their execution to others, alternatively). You should find the idea of ensuring operational excellence stimulating.
- Leading the delivery of special projects: you'll be asked to run key, strategic initiatives that are new to the company, as we tackle them for the very first time (or on a one-off basis). For example, organizing a high-profile event, coordinating a product launch, or expanding into a new market. Analytical, project management, and people skills are all equally important in this role.
- Ad-hoc founder support: support the firm's founders on time-critical matters, and experience what it takes to scale a company on a daily basis. You will have an extremely high degree of ownership, paired directly with HASH's CEO in our Berlin office. This role is full-time, in-person, and unsuitable for remote/hybrid applicants.
Requirements
-
You should have completed (or be about to complete) a Bachelor's or Master's degree (by summer 2026 latest) from a top university in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or a similar field.
-
Bilingual: Fluency in both English and German is required for this role
-
Ability to code: Experience developing and deploying basic web apps (preferably using TypeScript)
-
Attention-to-detail: Strength in navigating complex multi-step processes, identifying key information, and spotting discrepancies
-
Responsiveness and proactivity: Default to quick replies, and comprehensive follow-ups, supporting effective collaboration with busy senior stakeholders
-
Strong sense of ownership: Attracted to responsibility, you do what it takes to execute when expectations are set
-
Resiliency and grit: Determination to work hard in the face of uncertainty and setbacks without giving up
-
Numeracy: Ability to read and process financial statements
-
Literacy: Natural talent to write well, effectively and persuasively
-
High raw IQ: Capacity to problem solve and reason well across a wide range of domains and problem areas.
-
High social IQ: The sensibility to manage diverse stakeholders, implicitly detect tone and feeling, etc.
-
High social energy: The drive and motivation to pick up the phone whenever required to unblock things, even in the face of frustration.
-
Candidates must also be excited about the prospect of working at a fast-growing startup with a high-performance culture, and have realistic expectations as to what this entails.
-
Over time you may choose to specialize in an area of the business you find most interesting, or continue in a generalist role, and this position provides effective fast-track training for a managment/leadership role.
Benefits

We offer leading compensation, including competitive salaries and tax-advantaged options. We also provide:
-
Employer pension contributions
-
20 days paid flexible leave, plus Berlin public holidays
