Hardware Design Engineer

B.E / B.Tech / Diploma (Electrical/ Electronics/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication/ Instrumentation) Responsibilities: Provide technical guidance in developing new PCB designs and updating existing designs. Develop PCB layouts, perform component placements and determine wire routing. Verify existing designs and recommend improvements. Recommend new design concepts and validate the concept feasibility using circuit simulations. Prepare design documentations, requirements specifications and PCB models. Prepare test specifications and test procedures and develop test fixtures. Perform PCB design testing and analyse test results. Assist in preparation of project schedules, budget and risks. Monitor and report project status to Manager on regular basis. Attend project meetings to discuss about project progress and issues. Ensure that project deliverables meet customer expectations. Propose process improvements to ensure PCB functionality, quality and reliability. Perform project updates according to changing customer requirements. Skill & requirements: Good understanding of electronic components Strong knowledge of PCBs Experience working with CAD software such as Altium, AutoCAD, OrCAD or PADS Knowledge of RF and analog layouts Clear understanding of PCB layer stack up Knowledge of common PCB design rules Experience working with and designing engineering drawings Ability to maintain and create libraries Proficient in MS Office suite Proficient in BOM Experience in Configuration Management Strong learning drive Strong communication skills Ability to utilize the right tools at the right time
