Job Summary The Access Coordinator Level I is responsible for independently managing complex provisioning, modification, and removal of user access to enterprise systems in accordance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations by ensuring timely and accurate access while protecting patient, employee, and organizational information. The Level I Access Coordinator works with greater independence, resolves escalated access requests and incidents, and serves as a functional resource for Associate-level team members. The role is also responsible for using user access tools (IAM/IGA tools) and related processes to provision accounts, provide reports on user access, and support decision-making using system usage data. The incumbent is expected to deepen knowledge of access management technologies and update reference information accordingly. Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities Provisions, modifies, and removes user security access across enterprise applications and systems. Processes access requests in accordance with established IAM policies, procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Reviews approvals and documentation for access requests to ensure compliance with organizational standards and role-based access controls (RBAC). Coordinates provisioning activities with other Access Coordinator teams, application owners, and business stakeholders. Provides Tier II / advanced support for user access incidents escalated from Service Desks and Associate-level staff. Troubleshoots complex access issues and escalates only when appropriate. Guides users, managers, and business partners on IAM processes, access request procedures, and security best practices. Maintains accurate documentation of access activities and follows audit requirements. Participates in access reviews, remediation activities, and compliance checks. Protects the confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information. Adheres to ITS standards, security policies, compliance requirements, and organizational procedures. Participates in after-hours or on-call support as assigned. Continuously develops knowledge of IAM technologies, enterprise applications, and healthcare security requirements. No Job Specifications Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Identity and Access Management, Service Desk, IT Support, Healthcare IT, or a related field. Experience working with ticketing systems and access request workflows preferred. Skills and Capabilities Technical Skills Advanced Identity Access Management concepts: Authentication, Authorization, Role-Based Access Control, Privileged Access Management, and Access Review. Used tools like Active Directory, and related IAM platforms for user provisioning, deprovisioning, group creation, and role assignment. Vendor support engagement and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, PCI, SOX). Proficiency with desktop and productivity tools. Soft Skills Strong communication skills.
