About the role
Noida, Uttar Pradesh Job Summary The Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing end-to-end virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role ensures secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AVD environments aligned to business needs, compliance standards, and enterprise IT strategies Key Responsibilities Design scalable and high-performance Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) solutions. Define reference architecture including networking, identity, storage, and security. Create multi-region DR and business continuity strategies for AVD. Develop golden images and image lifecycle management (Azure Image Builder / Shared Image Gallery). Architect FSLogix profile solutions for optimal user experience. Skill Requirements Perform end-to-end assessment of existing VDI environment of Azure Virtual Desktop Analyze current architecture, capacity, performance, and scalability of VDI infrastructure. Conduct health checks across compute, storage, network, and virtualization layers. Review user experience metrics (login times, latency, session performance). Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies. Evaluate security posture including access controls, patching, and compliance alignment. Assess profile management solutions (FSLogix, Nerdio, etc.). Review image management, application delivery, and patching processes. Analyze licensing utilization and provide optimization recommendations. Conduct network assessment including bandwidth, latency, and connectivity dependencies. Validate DR/BCP readiness and high availability configurations. Provide gap analysis against industry best practices. Prepare detailed assessment report with findings, risks, and remediation roadmap. Collaborate with stakeholders for requirement gathering and validation. Provide effort estimation and roadmap for VDI transformation or optimization. Support POC setups and validation if required. Create personas and fine tune existing images being used as per business requirements.
