About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for stress analysis tasks, with a focus on composites, fasteners, metallics, and loads processing. Your role will also involve report writing and providing support to OEMs. Key Responsibilities: - Perform hand calculations for static strength of composites, including material orientation, lamination theory, bearing bypass, corner bending, and failure indices - Analyze fasteners for tension, shear, and shear tension interaction - Evaluate static strength of metallics through free body diagrams, stress evaluation, and understanding failure modes - Process loads in Excel and conduct calculations using MS Excel - Write reports in Word based on analysis findings - Update NASTRAN decks (using NX Nastran) and post-process in PATRAN with *.f06 files - Identify NASTRAN element types, extract results, and interpret the data - Perform FEM check and validation for analysis results Qualification Required: - 5 to 10 years of experience in stress analysis - Strong knowledge of stress analysis methodologies and calculations - Previous experience in supporting OEMs - Familiarity with Excel VBA macros is preferred - Knowledge of FEM tools is required, with experience in NASTRAN deck updating, PATRAN post-processing, and results interpretation - Experience in pre-processing (FE Modeling) in Simcenter will be advantageous (Note: No additional details of the company were provided in the job description) Role Overview: You will be responsible for stress analysis tasks, with a focus on composites, fasteners, metallics, and loads processing.
