Role Overview: You are being sought after for the position of Mechanical Design Engineer with 310 years of experience in product design and electromechanical system development, preferably in the semiconductor or special-purpose equipment domain. Your main responsibility will be the end-to-end ownership of product design, including concept development, detailed engineering, validation, and support for manufacturing. You will be ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions throughout the process. Key Responsibilities: - End-to-end ownership of mechanical & electromechanical design - 3D modeling, detailing & large assembly management (SolidWorks / Creo) - Create manufacturing drawings, BOM & configurations - Apply GD&T;, tolerance stack-up & engineering calculations - Implement DFM / DFA best practices - Work on machining, sheet metal, welding, injection molding - Handle prototyping, validation & root cause analysis - Manage ECO / ECN changes - Maintain BOMs, revisions & documentation - Work with Electrical, Software & Manufacturing teams - Handle system integration (sensors, actuators, wiring) - Participate in customer discussions & tech reviews Qualifications Required: - B.E / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (masters preferred) - Mechanical design & product development skills - CAD modeling & detailing experience - Knowledge of GD&T; & tolerance analysis - Familiarity with BOM & drawing standards - Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, materials, and finishing - Exposure to SPM / semiconductor equipment (preferred) - Proficiency in SolidWorks / Creo - Familiarity with Windchill / Teamcenter / Enovia / SAP/ MS Office Additional Company Details (if available): The job location is at HCL Tech in Bangalore & Chennai.
